I'm pretty sure the version on this album (Hometown Advantage from 2002) has slightly different lyrics for the second line. Instead of "you should have told me all the lies were true" I believe it is "you should have told me I'd be 32". I'm just going by what I hear from the recording on this specific album. The version on fast forward eats the tape has the "lies were true".
