She draws hr own apocalypse
Between her blood-red ruby lips
Holds it in her fingertips
And calls her life a drag

Sitting in the coffee shop
Sucking on a lemon drop
Waiting for her watch to stop
While days are dragging on

Do you suppose she knows
That her colorful clothing clashes?
Do you suppose she knows
That her cigarette's dripping its ashes?
And I wonder does she know
As her slip begins to show?
And I wonder does she see
She's all I long to be?

She's lost amid the smoke filled air
Her life's a game of solitaire
Staring though there's nothing there
In a smoke ring of thorns

But lady luck don't linger long
Throw your ace before she's gone
Before you reach your denouement
Your final curtain call

She hums a tune that haunts her head
And wanders why she left her bed
Tomorrow's just a day of dread
As pipe dreams fade away

As she lights another cigarette
I wander is she ready yet?
To cash in a life long debt
And kiss the world goodbye?
