We watch the season pull up its own stakes
And catch the last weekend of the last week
Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced,
Another sun soaked season fades away

You have stolen my heart
You have stolen my heart

Invitation only, grand farewells
Crash the best one, of the best ones
Clear liquor and cloudy-eyed, too early to say goodnight...

You have stolen my heart
You have stolen my heart

And from the ballroom floor we are in celebration
One good stretch before our hibernation
Our dreams assured and we all, will sleep well
Sleep well
Sleep well
Sleep well
Sleep well

You have stolen my...
You have stolen my...
You have stolen my...
You have stolen my heart...

I watch you spin around in your highest heels
You are the best one, of the best ones
We all look like we feel

You have stolen my
You have stolen my
You have stolen my
You have stolen my heart...

If you have seen the music video for Stolen it takes place at the beautiful Hotel Del Conordo on the beach in California. The woman in the video is standing close to the same spot on the deck's stairway to the beach, where infact the hotel's legend took place. The place where Kate Morgan's body was found one stormy night. Google it, very true story. They say her ghost haunts the hotel. I didn't think the song had anything to do with it, but it talks about summer ending, and Kate was killed in the fall, same timing the song talks about. And words in the song such as, "stakes" resemble what Kate did, her and her husband gambled for a living. If you look up the story you can see other things that match up in the worlds. She was found in an evening dress, possibly her "highest heels" Maybe the song has nothing to do with it, but I find it interesting.
