You never were a happy child
Not careless, not a minute lied or lying
The more they ran a quicker mile
The more your feet would stubborn smile
The stone collecting night
Then there was a corner glow so sober and bright
They were losing their grip on you
So you never craved for anything
But a line call of simmering out yonder
Someone was pulling chains up above
Like pencils grey turned black
Someone offering a subtle wager
Then a worthy way out of the flat
Big home flounders are set in death
We would wait like hip hop hop hop hip hop hop hop
Yeah we all were getting fed it bad but never firing the start
We'd never think of anything we really ought to be glad
Tunnels
Ain't it funny how
Tunnels
They make us feel so tall
All we did was run and hide
Oxygen or hammer fight
Posing like a little god
That painted all the other hearts white
Tunnels are more hidden, child
Tunnels are more relevant to you
A tunnel's never been denied
Tunnels could be stealing your youth
And waiting for another car
No one gave a damn about fools like us
With a cold hand in your open shirt
You picked and paid your breeze
We walked a sun-filled line
And on the road they amped and mined
We spent the time they rode
While blood was waiting for a sign
And now we find a way
To turn out all those tunnel lights
Serial heart confess
We thought both sounds not size
Amplified and entered soon
We never got rid of those eyes
We were everybody's favorite lies
And still for you to talk about we're guys
You always truck a little tunnel road
And look for the hard words, child
Something was more precious to you
Every minute filled you
You really didn't have to go
I really saw a star born in you
We're never getting paid
To look at the other end
We'll never get a bar cross stuck smile
With these tunnels in mind
'Cause we never get or anything
With light bulbs repulsing our eyes
These tunnels are like meals in spring
That's what we just did
So you wander by the cogway
To the corn rock
