Fishbone is a Los Angeles rock band formed in 1979 who pioneered an explosive fusion of punk, ska, funk, and metal that defied categorization and influenced countless alternative acts. Their frenetic live performances and genre-blending approach on songs like "Party at Ground Zero" and "Bonin' in the Boneyard" helped bridge the gap between underground punk and mainstream alternative rock in the 1980s and 90s.
