Flyleaf – Beautiful Bride Lyrics

Rock

Unified diversity
Functioning as one body
Every part encouraged by the other
No one independent of another
You're irreplaceable, indispensable
You're incredible
You're incredible
Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride
Strengthen your arms now
Train your fingers for battle
Urgency's here now
Train your fingers for battle
Fighting this violence
With your feet wrapped in peace
Sad tears and silence
Now screams of joy
Victory
Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride
Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
We're not gonna fall and forget
How far You went to pick us up
If one part's hurt the whole body's sick
If one part mourns we all mourn with Him
Rejoice, we'll sing with you
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride
Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride

Flyleaf are all Christian and as such I feel this song is a semi aggrissive approach to their and a lot of current Christians want for a the new, young church to rise up and work how Jesus' wishes it to be. Obviously in biblical terms The Church was refered to as jesus' bride.

Lacey describes the meaning behind "Beauftiful Bride", "I believe that God made Humanity as a bride for himself and I think that the bride is most beautiful when she's unified."I posted the above and just found this.

I love flyleaf! Her voice is beautiful and to me doesn't matter if this CD is an aggressive approach to their Christian views, due to the fact that i am an Aetheist and I still love their music.

To me, personally, all Religion does is serve people with the will to cope with the hardahip of life. Preaching of a better life afterwards. I majored in Sociology and studied religion and it's effects. There was a study by this bloke who basically took advantage of these coffee-gowing slaves but spread the comprimise of a "holy reward" in the afterlife to motivate and keep the status-quo.Whilst I don't "believe" anything the Bible describes, what IS obvious is that it is meant to be a guide to cope with life and it's struggles. The stories are merely illustrations of morality.I don't believe in religion itself, but I do have a faith in higher powers. Essentially this world is entirely goverend by physical laws and forces. But something must have put it there. The notion of a Heaven and Hell is preposterous. Obviously a moral threat to keep people in line and has no place in the 21st century. But I LOVE Flyleaf!!!!To me, personally, all Religion does is serve people with the will to cope with the hardahip of life. If you have background about the Church ( I mean the real chuch ), you will so very understand this lyrics. It's about the church which is the body of Christ, the Head.
