Flyleaf – Circle Lyrics

Rock

Circle encircles the earth
Chance and choice break his heart
His innocent arm moves to save me and I am spared
His beautiful arm is bloody and cut off
His heart ripped out to show me he loved me
But I wouldn't believe him
He did all that he could
I still would not believe him

I left his arms empty and tied outstretched for me until he died
Left his arms empty and tied outstretched for me until he died

No man shows greater love
Than when a man lays down his life
For his beloved

I left his arms empty and tied outstretched for me until he died
Left his arms empty and tied outstretched for me until he died

And here I am alive
And I don't have the right
And he gives me the right
Costing him his life
New mercy's in the morning

I believe
What if I believe you now?
Could it ever change this for you?
Forgive me, relieve me
Please come back to life

I believe
What if I believe you now?
Could it ever change this for you?
Forgive me, relieve me
Please come back to life
Come back to my life

I believe
What if I believe now?
Forgive me, relieve me
Please come back to life

Yes this song is so empowering and is very meaningful and just really brings me to tears. And gives me chills! Laceys voice is so amazing and so thankful she is using her gift to bring a good message and to show people that Christ is the ONLY way :)

This song is amazing. It is definitely about Jesus being crucified, and leaving him forsaken, until there is realization that he died for sin, and that is when you being to believe.

you know what this song means to me?it's about someone saving someone else, i'm a very literal person.i see the link between jesus and this song...i am not a christian, or religious in the slitest.i see this song as someone saving someone else, giving there life for someone they love, then the person begging for them back, like a lost boyfriend.i cry every time i listen to this song, i've lost loved ones, and i've begged for them back....flyleaf's song's have helped me through 2 death's of close friend'si love there music and i hope they continue the way they are, and ui can't wait to see them live at the O2 arena in islington. it's going to be great....

I love Flyleaf, but I'm not Christian and I don't think this song is supposed to be religious. I think it's about a boy who told her he loved her, but she never believed him, for whatever reason. And only after he died for her did she believe that he loved her. Now she feels horrible for never believing him while he was alive. I see this song as a tragic love story. There's romance in it.

For those of you who don't think this is about Christ sorry to burst you bubble but flyleaf is a Christian band you obviously haven't listened to any of the other songs on the album they all are about him one way or an other. Don't feel bad its ok to like Christian music even if you aren't "christian" My husband is jew and he loves flyleaf!!! Artist wise they are AMAZING!

Actually, if anyone read the pamphlet in the album, this song is about a woman who got her husband killed and regrets it to the point of asking God to judge her......

Chilling lyrics. She has an amazing voice. I love her.I think this is one of Flyleaf's best songs, it stays in your head all day. It kind of reminds me of the movie "Paranormal Activity".. The relationship between Micah and Katie.

I would like to say this is a beautiful song, no matter what meaning there is behind it. I think some people on here are taking others' opinions too personal. Before I came on here to look at the lyrics, I did not see any religious meaning in this song. After coming here, I *can* see it, but that does not mean that is the only way it can be interpreted; to get upset about people viewing it another way is just silly. =) I also initially and still see it as someone's beloved dying for them. Yes, it is apparent at least part of the Flyleaf band is Christian, but that does not mean they are a Christian band, musically (such as the wonderful Evanescence). You know, the great thing about art is that it can have multiple interpretations and mean something different for everyone. I'm not going to try to shove my interpretation down anyone else's throat, and I think everyone else should understand this mindset as well.

this is about how her faith to Jesus Christ moves and how she began to believe. the song includes my tattoo JOHN 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."

it is definitely about Jesus dying to save us all. and for people saying 'no its about a guy in the military getting shot for his wife', yes thats what the journal entry says that flyleaf put out. BUT the entire journal is a metaphor about Jesus' love for us and salvation

I'm an atheist, and this song made me cry. I see how people can interpret this in a religious way, but I choose not to think of it that way. It's all in how you see it.

I see all the comments on this page i am happy that it has reached all of you in your own personal way, but this is true you can choose to interpret it however you like, the truth is that all the songs that Flyleaf sing are inspired by the Holy Spirit, God is knocking on your door whether or not you choose to open the door is completely up to you, I am not here to make you do something you do not want to do, its just true what it says in the Bible some people will open the door and let him in others choose to turn their backs on the reason why they are blessed with life. The song is what it is inspired by God. To all of you I pray for a good life, I mean no offense to anyone.

This is definatly a beatiful song, no matter what the real meaning behind it is. It could be about God or it could be about someone giving their own life for someone they love. I'm not sure about the God thing but i love flyleaf.
