Gravediggaz is a New York hip-hop group formed in 1993 that pioneered the horrorcore subgenre with their dark, theatrical approach to rap music. Their debut album "6 Feet Deep" (also known as "Niggamortis") featured haunting production and macabre lyrics on tracks like "Diary Of A Madman" and "Nowhere To Run, Nowhere To Hide," establishing a blueprint for horror-themed hip-hop that influenced countless artists. Led by Prince Paul (formerly of De La Soul) and featuring RZA (who would later helm Wu-Tang Clan), the group's cinematic storytelling and eerie soundscapes helped expand hip-hop's creative boundaries.
