Crows feet tracks leave gouges in skin
Another day passes where I couldn't make you smile
A new ache reaches down and twists off my head
The dead marrow refreshed by dialysis
I remember when we were in love
But time has taken that from us
Cut out a bigger missing piece

Estrangement is our new normal
Too scared to leave,
