Tonight
London
You are the fire
Am I brave enough?
Am I strong enough
To follow the desire
That burns from within?
To push away my fear
To stand where I'm afraid
I am through with this
'Cause I am more than this
I promise to myself
Alone and no one else
My flame is rising higher
I am the fire
And I am burning brighter
Roaring like a storm
And I am the one
I've been waiting for
Screaming like a siren
And I've been burning brighter
I am the fire
I've been sacrificed
My heart's been cauterized
Clinging on to hope
Shackled by the ghost
Of what I once believed
That I could never be
What's right in front of me
I am the fire
And I am burning brighter
Roaring like a storm
And I am the one
I've been waiting for
Screaming like a siren
And I've been burning brighter
I am the fire
I don't believe all the bad press
I won't let the past decide my fate
Leave forgiveness in my wake
Oh, take the love that I've embraced
I promise to myself
Me and no one else
I am more than this, sing it
I am the fire, oh
I am the fire
And I am burning brighter
Roaring like a storm
And I am the one
I've been waiting for
Screaming like a siren
And I've been burning brighter
I am the fire
I am the fire
I am the fire
I am the fire
The fire
The fire
I am the fire
Thank you
How you doing, Wembley?
Oh no, we are not done with you yet
We've been waiting a long time
Everyone still with me?
So, um, we've been a band for like twenty-six years now?
We started when we were two, you know, close to it
Um, the crazy man in the back on the drums is my little brother
And he and I started Halestorm when I was thirteen and he was ten
We named the band Halestorm on the way to our first
Gig ever at the Schuylkill County Fair in Pennsylvania
And uh, we ended up getting the third
Place trophy in the talent show, but
But we did lose to the tap-dancing cowgirl, so
She was cuter than we were
But we were so obsessed
We came off that stage like shaking
Because we just wanted to do it again
And so, little bro in his ten year old wisdom is
Like, "Do you think Mom and Dad know another
Place we can play so we can do this every day?"
And uh, and we've literally been doing the same thing ever since, so
And as you can see, we haven't matured much
But we are so grateful for all of you because we only dreamed
We only dreamed
We would watch footage of The Beatles and The Stones
And Ronnie James Dio and Alice Cooper and Pink Floyd and
And we'd watch all these videos of these people just commanding
This audience and coming all the way over the ocean to play London
And little bro and I thought, "I don't know
Do you think we'll ever get there? Maybe"
And now, look at us here tonight, all together
