The songs being told from an atheists perspective. He's never known god until he prayed for the first time. He wants to realize reality beyond our eyes where the anti Christ will fall and he will ascend to heaven. He thinks he's a murderer because the people that crucified Jesus did not believe in Jesus' god which makes him equivelant to them. And he's asking god to wash him clean from his sins.
