I think this song is about a drug addict, lying constantly about it in his relationship. "Didn't take it like I wanted to. I won't tell the truth when I'm talking to you"His partner can see through the lies and gets upset with him. He tries to be funny and make her smile, and it works, she stays. "And I try so hard to make you smile, havent seen you smile in a little while."She still gets in her head, wonders if it's gonna work. He tries to get her out of her head and wonders if it's gonna end. "Blowing smokes a lot, when you're in your head for the whole night."He says " it's a good thing I am see through." He's glad she sees through the lies because he wants to change, just doesn't know how.I relate to this deeply.
