It happened again,
I got lost on the way back to my own doorstep.
You could say I let myself fall victim to the static in my head.
I think it's probably a safe bet,
That I've been trying hard to forget.
That no matter the words I say,
This confusion is my only friend.
Now I've been clearing the cobwebs,
Been clearing the cobwebs,
Been clearing the cobwebs.
No matter where I turn
It's so hard to feel like I'm not losing my grip.
Now I've been clearing these cobwebs
To keep the suffocating feeling from my head
I've been sticking to dry land
To keep from feeling like I'm sinking again
When I get lost
There is nothing in this world I'm afraid of.
More than the looks from strangers when I'm getting stuck.
I think it's pretty plain to see,
That there is something that I need.
But no matter the words I say
This confusion it calms only me.
(?)
I've been clearing the cobwebs
To keep the suffocating feeling from my head.
I've been sticking to dry land
To keep from feeling like I'm sinking again, again
And again, all I need
Are the words it takes to say
That we're more than the lies we tell ourselves
At the end of the day
At the end of the day
I've been clearing the cobwebs
To keep these feelings from my head, my head
I've been clearing the cobwebs
To stop from sinking again, again and again
