Great positive song. Only to be "human" does not imply that we do or even can do good works or make a difference. Apart from Christ we can not do "good" (ps. 16:2). I just wish this song better portrayed this biblical truth. Simply to be "human" (not necessarily born again or a new creation 2 Cor 5:17) is to be in need of a Savior and to be slaves of sin/death. Once we have received Christ and newness of life then we can truly begin to love others just as Christ has loved us. Jesus is the only way

I believe this song portrays truth in that while we are still humans we are called to do the best that we can. Luke 9:23 says that "if anyone should come after Me, they MUST deny themselves daily, pick up their cross and follow Me." I believe that as humans, we do have only one life to obey this call and be the best that we can be. To live in the world we do today, surrounded by darkness and evil, we can only do so much and we are to do that in order to be obedient in Christ. I know that I can do better. I know that I can take this once chance and make a difference. Just like the song says. Great song Natalie and Jordin!!
