About NOFX
NOFX is an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 who became one of the most influential acts in the Fat Wreck Chords-era punk revival with their melodic hardcore sound and irreverent humor. Led by Fat Mike's distinctive nasal vocals and politically charged lyrics, they crafted anthems like "Linoleum" and "The Decline" that balanced blazing three-chord progressions with sharp social commentary and self-deprecating wit. Albums like "Punk in Drublic" and "White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean" helped define 1990s skate punk while maintaining their DIY ethos and anti-establishment stance. After four decades of refusing to sell out to major labels, NOFX disbanded in 2024, leaving behind a legacy as punk rock's most enduring wise guys who proved underground bands could achieve massive influence without compromising their principles.
