Oceana – Wool God Lyrics

Rock

Leave us, the lying, cheating ones.
Bruised by beating a bottled fruit I found.
I found love, found jesus christ ripe and filling.
This fruits enough to feed myself, and no one else.
This meal is enough to heal.

Fed me to stay, curious of being thought out.
What do our brothers say? Always stay away.
They fed me to stay, curious of being thought out.
What do our brothers say? Always stay.

This heart is,
This is where it stays.
This is where god is,
And this is where it stays.

Fed me to stay, curious of being thought out.
What do our brothers say? Always stay away.
They fed me to stay, curious of being thought out.
What do our brothers say? Always stay.

Oh god, I feel it, feel it.
No fonder feeling exists.

This isn't a Christian song, they said so themselves. I dig the new sound, and I think this song is about alcohol or drinking in some form...the psychological aspect it has and how it serves as a 'god' for people.

You can take this anyway you want actually.. Lyrics are taken in different ways.. No matter what there intention lol The new sound is awesome. Birtheater was awesome too =) Amazing band.

They took a perfect direction with this album. Birtheater was amazing, but does fall into the rest of the melodic hardcore scene, this ep is perfectly diverse and creative, no complaints here.

i must agree that the song is probably about the drink but there is two meaning the written meaning adn the precieved meaning precieved meaning changes from person to person

We went to an oceana show not that long ago and we asked them what this song was about and they told us that its about finding something that you love and is comfortable to you, something that feels like home, and holding onto it and not letting it go.
