About Orgy
Orgy is an American industrial rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1994 who became synonymous with the late '90s nu-metal and industrial crossover movement. Their breakthrough cover of New Order's "Blue Monday" from debut album "Candyass" (1998) perfectly captured their signature blend of heavy guitars, electronic programming, and Jay Gordon's distinctive vocals. Follow-up "Vapor Transmission" (2000) showcased their evolution with tracks like "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)" and "Opticon," cementing their role in bridging industrial metal with mainstream rock. Though their commercial peak was brief, Orgy's cyberpunk aesthetic and electronic-rock fusion influenced countless bands in the emerging digital metal scene.
