I have NO IDEA how I ended up with this song on the radio the very moment I was pressing "seek" and it stopped on a station yesterday while driving. I'm not sure I'm Christian, though I hope there's a God and there's a heaven, but I guess that's the human part of us and our need to believe in something more. I am right on the very precipice of "the big one" (taking my own life) and I'm not sure if this song is saying "It's okay son, I'm waiting for you" or if it means "You can LIVE thru this darkness...I'm here with you". PLEASE DONT JUST GIVE ME SH*T for saying I'm ready to check out. I don't need to hear that, and you DONT need to know what I'm going thru. I want an honest answer from someone who can give guidance with quoting scriptures (I don't believe the Bible), but I do HOPE there is a God and I've asked him to forgive me for my weakness; up to and including pulling the trigger.PLEASE, only something that speaks to my inner heart will I read and soul search. I'll check back tomorrow and hope that, if there is a God, he can speak to me thru you like this song has struck a very tender chord in my broken spirit.

hey there anonymous person. One thing that you can be sure of is that God has forgiven you... Because he sent his son (Jesus) to die for you on the cross, to die for your sins... He took them all for you even for pulling the trigger! And Jesus don't want you to die!! he want's you to live here on earth as a changed forgiven person who puts his intire trust in jesus for forgiveness and who wants to give give glory to him for all that he done.I really hope this has helped and that God has spoken through me... To anonymous please know that there is not a truer love than the love of God. He sent his son, Jesus, to be beaten and broken and then hung on a cross for you. If you were the only person in the whole world He still would have died just for you! There is not anything you can do that is bad enough that God will give up on you. He tells us all we have to do is to "believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is the son of God and we will be saved. Lots of people quote John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." They often forget to read the next verse which says, "For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." God tells us if we ask him to forgive our sins he does and he casts them as far as the east is from the west. He won't ever bring them up again. He just wants to love you and have you love him and live your life for him. I won't pretend to understand what's going on in your life right now, but please know that you aren't alone...God is right beside you and he will lead you through this if you just let him! I pray that you will see your worth through the eyes of Jesus and understand you can get through this. Know that you will be in my prayers. I may not know you're name, but God does and that's all that matters. God bless you!

[: I believe that this song is basically saying that you are not alone, you are loved, there is hope, and you can make it through whatever it is you're going through with God. You can. Because when you give your life to God and start living in his glorious ways, HE will give you honest guidance and help. Even right now, when you're not sure you're a Christian, he loves you, and he cares for you. He killed his son so he could have you. He's with you- you're not alone. You are not alone. His heart hurts just at the thought of you taking your own life. It breaks at the thought that he won't be able to spend eternity with you, his precious creation. And it breaks at the thought that you will kill yourself and not fulfill the plans God has for you to change this world once you fully surrender to him.
