About Pigface
Pigface is an industrial rock collective formed in Chicago in 1990 by Martin Atkins (formerly of Public Image Ltd. and Killing Joke) that became a revolving-door supergroup featuring members from Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, and dozens of other acts. Their aggressive, sample-heavy sound on albums like "Gub" and "Fook" helped define the industrial metal crossover of the early '90s, with tracks like "Suck" and "Point Blank" becoming underground anthems. The band's collaborative approach-where different lineups would create vastly different sounds-influenced the industrial scene's communal ethos and paved the way for remix culture. Though their commercial peak was brief, Pigface's experimental spirit and all-star rotating cast made them a crucial bridge between punk's DIY ethics and industrial music's technological aggression.
