Go out dancing...

The last days of the world,
Came with a whimper not a bang;
No white knight got the girl,
And no fat lady sang.

And someone in a backroom somewhere,
Made one small mistake;
Was it ebola or cholera?
What differences does it make?

We'll go out dancing at the end of the world,
We'll go out dancing at the end of the world.

He could have been a hero,
Could have worn a hero's hat;
But he left a small valve open,
And went on home to feed his cats.

Now there's no more East Side,
No more West Side, no more Missile Rock;
No one trips the light fantastic,
On the sidewalks of New York.

And it could have been deniable,
It didn't have to be;
Just this one time Mr. Reliable,
Was not where he was suppose to be.

And one small footnote,
Adding insult to the pain;
He was looking for a life boat,
Got run over by a train.
