Rebelution – More Than Ever Lyrics

Reggae

Just like I said before,
Give me two weeks, when I come home, I'll come and say hello,
With hugs and kisses for you Mrs. how I miss you so,
Been gone forever, nothing better than to see you though
Tell me how you been,
Don't you act surprised this is how I am,
I'm feeling good and that's real,
You and me should kick it more than ever, more than ever, more than ever
Remember me and you
Remember when we'd sit,
Talk face to face and wonder whether we'd be making it,
And chat for hours about the leftist side of government,
I'd sit and listen to your words and I'd be loving it,
And now the times have changed,
Older but we always stay the same,
I'm filling up the whole lane,
You and me should kick it more than ever, more than ever, more than ever
Remember me and you

About This Song

"More Than Ever" is a heartfelt reggae-rock ballad about reconnecting with a loved one after time apart, expressing the deep appreciation that comes from absence and the desire to strengthen their bond. The lyrics convey themes of longing, gratitude, and renewed commitment, as the narrator returns home eager to rebuild intimacy with someone who clearly means everything to them. Musically, the song showcases Rebelution's signature blend of smooth reggae rhythms with rock sensibilities, featuring laid-back grooves and warm, melodic vocals that perfectly complement the tender, reflective mood. The track stands out for its genuine emotional vulnerability and the way it captures that universal feeling of realizing how much someone means to you only after being separated from them. It represents Rebelution's ability to infuse traditional reggae with contemporary rock elements while maintaining an authentic, heartfelt message about love and human connection.

i dont know if it is about weed. he says that he feels better than ever, so if he feels better than ever then he wouldnt go back to what he was doing before i dont think? i kinda think its not really that deep, that its just talkin about a friend he has lost touch with, probably a female friend that he feels attracted to more than she feels toward him.

dude anyone who thinks its about ganja is dumb and smokes well too much herbs. believe me i love myself a spliff and smoke daily, but clearly its about a lady friend. why would he be sitting with a bag of weed talking politics, and asking the weed how its been and shit like come on people, we all know a goo bit of there songs are about smoking weed but they got love songs too. this track is clearly about a girl he hasnt seen in awhile and wants to see
