these lyrics r just epic! to me this song is talking about a person that was in a realationship (whether it be friendship, family, or lover it applies to all) it went sour and died this person is describing how on the suface he accepted its death and on the inside he knows that he cant get over it cuz he actually dosnt want to cuz hes still holding on but he knows that he needs God to help him cope with these empty feelings of no longer knowing who u r anymore because you lived your life for this/these person(s) cuz God is the only one that was ever there and that really cares about what hes going thru so hes asking God to fill his void.thats what this song means to me anyway...

For me this song means that I am nothing without God. If He hadn't saved me by His amazing grace, I would be a lost soul, a nobody, faceless. My identity is in Him.
