i think she was telling of a person she was with, that was very positive, i say this b/c of the first two lines, baby you were like the sky you held me up to let me fly, meaning he encouraged her to be who she was, but when she says its not that easy meaning even though he seemed to have it all, love couldnt be that simple, not that sweet, if its something worth having shouldnt there have been a fight? or some other effort besides the lovey dovey, but then maybe she thinks that its b/c of other torn releationships that its the reason she feels this way and in the lines that say, flying as slow as i can, im not trying to reach the ground could mean that shes gonna love every momment that isnt spoiled as how she thinks it should be, and even though she feels it will come to an end, she loves him...

Once again, the poetry and meaning is profound. In a positive and healthy relationship, with someone who encourages her so she's savoring every sweet moment of it. I wonder if this person was the impetus to her releasing another album and going on tour? I can really relate to this song as I have a spouse who has been my source of encouragement when I did not think I was strong enough to face yet another day of working in an insane environment.
