Sylvatica – The Ascension Lyrics

An old viking feared his demise
Cause only those who in battle dies
Are welcomed into Valhall's light
He had looked for a foe to fight

He had fought both giant and troll
To finally achieve his goal
Nor man or beast could match his strength
His life would soon come to an end

A viking was buried in a christian grave
No access to Valhall even though he was brave
His life was spent dreaming of a glorious death
Dreams about war and feast as Valhalla's guest

A fateful night came with rain and snow
Just as his hope was extremely low
He saw a town in a distant fog
Where a giant was running amok
The giant was inhumanly strong
Its fists was huge and its fangs long
Such a foe one could not sly
This would be a glorious day

He fell in battle his life would end
At last he could to Valhalla ascend
When he came to the gate, they him presents gave
Both mead, weapons and female slaves
At the bottom of a staircase of gold
He was here just as foretold
But the gate to Valhall was sealed
And a storm carried him away

With the wind he was brought to a boring cloud
Where mead and arms weren't allowed
The sadden barbarian wandered for months
He met only angels and dry fucking cunts

He had fallen in battle his life was done
But his body was found by a christian nun
The viking grieved when i found that a
Priest had buried him that very day

A viking was buried in a christian grave
No access to Valhall even though he was brave
His life was spent dreaming of a glorious death
Dreams about war and feast as Valhalla's guest
