This song is about the evil of abortion. Nascent means "Coming into existence; emerging." "As the mind evolves menaces are born.As the needles turn innocence is torn." As people further rationalize babies as less than human more and more abortions are done. Abortion doctors use long needles to kill the babies and extract them from the womb. Look at the rest of the lyrics with this point of view and you'll see it clearly.
