Dasha Marks Birthday With Grand Ole Opry Live Recording

Dasha released a live version of "Oh, Anna!" on February 27th—her 26th birthday—capturing a performance from country music's most legendary stage. The recording preserves her August appearance at the Grand Ole Opry, stripping the song down to showcase its emotional weight and the introspection that defines the track.

The country artist recorded "Oh, Anna!" during her time on the Opry stage, a venue where she made her debut just months earlier in June 2024. "Stepping into the circle never loses its magic," Dasha explained about the experience. "Performing 'Oh, Anna' was its own kind of healing for me, so getting to experience both at the same time feels incredibly special and always pushes me toward something bigger."

Official live recordings from the Grand Ole Opry are uncommon, making this release particularly significant. The timing also coincides with the Opry's 100th anniversary year in 2025. Dasha described the night differently from her typical tour performances, noting a shift in energy and intimacy. "On tour, I love throwing a party. I want people dancing, getting rowdy, and making memories they'll talk about for years," she said. "But when I step into the circle, it becomes something else entirely. It feels more intimate, more connected. All about the story and how much it took to get to that moment."

The release reflects a breakthrough moment in Dasha's career. She joined the 2025 Opry NextStage class—a designation reserved for emerging artists the venue identifies as significant voices in country music. Beyond that honor, her viral hit "Austin (Boots Stopped Workin')" became one of the most-streamed country songs of 2024 and earned Female Song of the Year at the People's Choice Country Awards. She's also received an MTV Video Music Awards nomination for Push Performance of the Year and a Best New Female Artist nod at the ACM Awards, plus a headlining set on the Mane Stage at Stagecoach Festival.

For Dasha, the Opry validation carries weight beyond typical industry recognition. "Being asked to perform at the Grand Ole Opry is already an honor worth celebrating, but being invited to join the Opry NextStage class felt like an entirely different level of validation," she shared. "It's one of the most iconic stages in the world, and the fact that they believed in what I'm building so early on means everything to me."

She acknowledged the pressures of her rapid rise, noting that criticism sometimes accompanies innovation. "I know there will always be criticism in this career, and sometimes I have to remind myself that experiencing push back means you're doing something new and right," Dasha said. "To have the Grand Ole Opry stand behind me and say, 'We believe in her,' is incredibly powerful."
