Oasis Drops Live 'Acquiesce' for War Child's HELP(2) Album

The roar of 90,000 voices at Wembley Stadium last September carries new weight today. Oasis just announced they're contributing a live recording of "Acquiesce" to War Child's highly anticipated HELP(2) charity album, capturing the electric energy from the final night of their seven-show London residency on September 28, 2025.

This marks the first official live release from the Gallagher brothers' reunion tour, and it couldn't land in better company. The track will appear as a bonus seven-inch with vinyl purchases and as a hidden gem on the two-CD version when HELP(2) drops this Friday. Streaming fans get their fix the same day, preserving that sweaty, arms-in-the-air moment when thousands sang along to one of the band's most beloved B-sides.

The Manchester legends have deep ties to this cause. Their anthemic "Fade Away" opened the original 1995 HELP compilation, a one-day recording session that united Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Massive Attack, and even rivals Blur for War Child's Bosnia relief efforts. Three decades later, the sequel brings together an equally impressive roster including Olivia Rodrigo, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead's Beth Gibbons, and Big Thief.

Producer James Ford captured most of HELP(2) during a concentrated week at Abbey Road last November, channeling the same urgency that made the original so powerful. With conflicts raging worldwide, this collection proves music's enduring power to unite voices for those caught in the crossfire.
