Rolling Loud Australia 2026 Scrapped Over Financial Issues

Rolling Loud will not be happening in Australia next year. The hip-hop festival pulled the plug on its 2026 dates just seven days before doors were supposed to open across Sydney and Melbourne.

The two-city run was scheduled for March 7 at Centennial Park in Sydney, followed by March 8 at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne. Gunna, Ken Carson, and Sexyy Red were set to headline, with a supporting cast that included Tyga, Swae Lee, Lil Tjay, NLE Choppa, and Quavo, among others.

Festival organizers blamed the collapse on their local production partner. "Our local partner, Primuse Entertainment, failed to meet critical payment deadlines and related obligations," they stated. "These ongoing delays left us without the necessary guarantees so close to the event; we will not compromise the safety or experience of our fans, artists, and vendors."

Refunds will go out to all ticket holders, with specific instructions coming from the event operator and ticketing platforms.

Rolling Loud Australia hasn't touched down since 2019. A 2022 return never materialized either. This latest cancellation adds another scar to Australia's live music calendar, which has been hammered by festival collapses over the past couple of years. Parkway Drive's Park Waves, Groovin the Moo, Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass, and Changing Tides have all gone under. The culprits: skyrocketing production budgets for security, insurance, and logistics, paired with softening ticket sales as economic headwinds persist globally.
