Rush Announce 2027 'Fifty Something Tour' Dates for UK, Europe & South America

Rush have confirmed an international leg of their 'Fifty Something Tour', bringing Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson to the UK, Europe, and South America in 2027 — the band's first European shows since 2013 and their first South American dates in 17 years. A total of 24 shows across 13 countries have been announced, with tickets going on sale Friday, February 27 at 10am local time.

The international run follows the announcement of 58 North American dates in 2026 — a run that began with 22 shows, all of which sold out immediately, forcing the band to add more. Those US, Canada, and Mexico dates kick off in June and mark Rush's first live performances since their 2015 farewell tour, a 35-date North American run that turned out to be the last time Lee, Lifeson, and drummer Neil Peart shared a stage. Peart died from brain cancer in January 2020 at age 67.

For the 2027 dates, Lee and Lifeson will be joined by Anika Nilles, a German drummer, composer, and producer who has worked as Jeff Beck's drummer and put out four solo albums of her own. Loren Gold, keyboard player for The Who, rounds out the live lineup. Billed as an 'Evening with' show, each night will feature two full sets, with the band rotating through roughly 40 songs to keep things shifting from night to night.

The South American leg opens January 15 in Buenos Aires at the Movistar Arena, then moves through Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Brasília before the band crosses to Europe in February. The European stretch runs through Paris at La Défense Arena, Berlin's Uber Arena, Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome, Munich's Olympiahalle, and Cologne's LANXESS Arena, among others.

Four UK dates land in March: Glasgow's OVO Hydro on March 8, the Co-op Live in Manchester on March 12, and two nights at The O2 in London on March 16 and 18. The tour wraps with seven more European stops, closing April 10 at the Veikkaus Arena in Helsinki.

"We can't wait to get back to all these cities we haven't played in so long, as well as hitting some new places we've yet to play," said Lee. "Both Alex and I are loving the hours of rehearsal time we're spending with Anika and now Loren, learning around 40 songs which will enable us to keep the shows evolving, playing some different songs on different nights."

"We are thrilled that many of our longstanding crew have come back to help us design the kind of Rush show that fans have grown accustomed to expect from us. We dearly hope you will come along and help us celebrate 50 years of Rush music, while giving Neil the long overdue tribute he so richly deserves," he added.

Peart's widow Carrie Nuttall-Peart and daughter Olivia issued a statement in support of the tour: "We are thrilled to support the 'Fifty Something' tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honour Neil's extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist. As the band enters this new chapter, it promises to be truly unforgettable. We are excited to see how their new vision unfolds, and to hear this legendary music played live once again."

Alongside the tour news, Rush have released 'RUSH 50', a 50-track super deluxe anthology covering the full arc of their catalog — from the first-ever reissue of their 1973 debut single all the way to a live recording of the last song Lee, Lifeson, and Peart ever played together. On March 13, an expanded boxset of their 1984 tenth studio album 'Grace Under Pressure' also drops.

The live return is a notable shift from where Lifeson stood not long ago. Reflecting on his and Lee's performances at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts, he had suggested a full Rush reunion wasn't in the cards. "For 40 years Rush included Neil, and I don't think putting some new version together would have the same magic," he said. "But after a few weeks that wore off and it occurred to me that despite all the pain of loss, Rush went out on a high note… I'd rather be remembered for that legacy than returning as the top Rush tribute band." Clearly, something changed his mind.
